The Vivian Stancil Olympian Foundation proudly presents the annual Splish Splash Water Safety Swim Event – a fun, family-friendly day dedicated to promoting water safety, healthy lifestyles, and community connection. With the generous support of our sponsors, we bring together swimmers of all ages to learn essential skills, enjoy engaging activities, and celebrate the importance of staying safe in and around the water.
Our Mission
At the Vivian Stancil Olympian Foundation, we are dedicated to inspiring healthy lifestyles and enriching lives, young and old alike. Through engaging sports programs, dynamic activities, nutrition education, and accessible resources, we empower individuals and families to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. Every initiative we offer is designed to make a lasting, proactive impact on the well-being of our community.
The VSOF started its Water Safety Swim Events, teaching swimming techniques and water safety tips to children ages 3 years old through adults 65 and older.
The VSOF is dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries and death to both children and adults in Riverside County.
The VSOF Splish Splash Event benefits Riverside County by teaching essential swimming skills to people of all ages and helping prevent accidental drownings.
Many participants lack access to pools, but through the Splish Splash Event, families learn the importance of supervising children around water-whether at a pool, lake, or beach.
The Splish Splash Event attracted more than 100 individuals, from the following cities: Jurupa Valley (5%), Moreno Valley (1.6%), Corona, Redlands, and Rialto (.8%) respectively. Eighty-six percent (86%) of the participants are from the City of Riverside.
